| ScanWare
tracks scanner use for professionals who wish to charge clients for
scanned documents. The
advanced functions built into ScanWare allow users to effectively
communicate, manage and share information.
Images can be emailed, faxed, stored on a file server or imported
into third-party applications. Scanned
images are generally stored as PDF files in each user’s personal web
cabinet. Images may also be
stored as TIFF or multi-page TIFF files.
ScanWare works with digital multifunction machines and networked
digital fax machines.

Cost Control Terminal or Cost Control Device (CCD) used to complete
job form and unlock multifunction device
- Pages
are scanned
- Images
are stored as PDF file on CCD or server and faxed or emailed, if
necessary
- User
retrieves PDF from web cabinet
- OCR
software converts PDF to word processing file
