Plus users enjoy all the benefits of PrintWare with the added benefit of
storing the job for future printing and pickup. Jobs saved to the CostWare print queue may be picked up at
any multifunction printer in the firm, including the copy center.
Submitting print jobs to high speed printers located in the copy
center gives the user access to machines with advanced features while
enabling the user to control the final output from their desktop.
User’s picking up their jobs at a shared printer need not worry
about confidential information being accidentally disseminated or lost.
Since the user must release the job from the password-protected
print queue, the possibility of mixing jobs is all but eliminated.
Use
Scenario
- Document
is sent to CostWare printer
- Print
file and job profile is stored in print queue on server
- Using
graphical cost collection terminal, user recalls and starts queued
print job
- Pages
are printed on multifunction printer
- Transaction
is saved in database
Note: A print job may be printed on any
similar printer.
